Brief Description
Faraway Martha's Vineyard is seeking a highly skilled and creative Sushi Chef to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning, development, and execution.
- Ensure quality and consistency in food preparation.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to organizational standards and existing systems, while always looking to improve upon them when necessary.
- Handle a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef (min 1 year) and Sushi Chef (min 2 years).
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience of three years.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences.
- Computer literacy including Google Drive, Sheets, Inventory Software, and POS.
