About the role

Kapolei restaurant seeks a skilled Sous Chef to assist in the operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Create daily specials
• Put out quarterly menu changes
• Maintain kitchen standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Daily duties include inventory and ordering
• Personnel management
• Portion control
• Food expediting
• General cleaning
• Equipment and facility maintenance
• Organization of prep lists
• Daily prep for lunch and dinner service

Requirements

• 2 yr minimum sous chef/kitchen manager/supervisory experience or 5 years experience having worked all stations in a kitchen
• Sauté, broiler, pantry, sanitation and knife skills are musts!
• Available to work nights, weekends, and all holidays
• Punctuality, Ability to work well in a team environment & Perform in high tempo & fast paced kitchen
