Key Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in the training and supervision of kitchen and utility personnel, emphasizing adherence to the Evermore Culture.
- Collaborates with the Chef de Cuisine to develop menus.
- Prepares meats and seafood for line and special functions.
- Prepares all sauces, stocks, chili, and soups.
- Prepares food orders.
- Safeguards the receipt of products to ensure proper quality and quantity.
- Maintains daily prep, production, and cleaning checklists according to standards.
- Maintains high levels of security and safety for both guests and Team Members.
- Schedules associates based on business volume.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of kitchens and storage areas, and ensures par levels are maintained.
- Ensures food products are used promptly.
- Prepares food in accordance with Evermore recipes.
- Aids and assists other areas of the kitchen as needed.
- Sets up, maintains, breaks down, and cleans workstations.
- Serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
- Communicates effectively in a spirit of teamwork and partnership with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, and Team Members.
- Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules.
- Requisitions supplies needed to produce items on the menu.
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
- Covers, dates, and properly stores all products.
- Assists with other duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine.
- Works closely with the Outlet Manager to supervise both Front of the House and Kitchen as schedule dictates.
Education, Skills And Experience
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years’ experience in an upscale kitchen
- 2 years’ management experience
- Culinary degree preferred
- SERV Safe Certified
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedule
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity in all situations
- Ability to anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve problems
- Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by Team Members and guests
