About the role
1 Hotel Hanalei Bay is a top-notch team of food-lovers with the talent to change the way we live and eat. We're currently seeking a detail-obsessed Sous Chef with the leadership skills to motivate an amazing team, all while managing the daily (and detailed) operations of a high-volume, fast-paced scratch kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Motivate an amazing team
- Manage the daily (and detailed) operations of a high-volume, fast-paced scratch kitchen
- Assist in all manner of food prep
- Supervise line staff
- Manage inventory
- Provide on-the-spot solutions
Requirements
- Passionate about culinary arts
- A minimum of 2 years of similar work experience
- An advanced knowledge of culinary operations
- A proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in culinary arts is a plus
