Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing culinary operations and ensuring efficient kitchen performance
  • Support food cost management, budgeting, inventory control, and expense oversight
  • Aid in menu planning, recipe development, and daily food production
  • Prepare, cook, and oversee the presentation of food to ensure quality and consistency
  • Execute catering and special events, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction
  • Supervise and support hourly culinary team members, providing coaching and development as needed
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Partner with company culinary and marketing teams to implement new programs, initiatives, and menu offerings
  • Aid in product ordering, inventory management, and vendor coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Progressive culinary and kitchen leadership experience
  • Catering and special event experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice environments strongly preferred
  • Institutional, healthcare, or batch cooking experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, culinary techniques, quality standards, food cost controls, sanitation, and presentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and client engagement initiatives
  • ServSafe Certification
