About the role
1 Hotel South Beach is seeking a detail-obsessed Pastry Sous Chef with the leadership skills to motivate an amazing team, all while managing the daily (and detailed) operations of a high-volume, fast-paced scratch kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Motivate and lead a team of kitchen staff
- Manage daily operations including food prep, inventory, and on-the-spot solutions
- Assist in all aspects of culinary operations
Requirements
- A passion for culinary arts with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- An advanced knowledge of culinary operations
- A proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to be flexible and meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in culinary arts is a plus
