About the role
The Grandview by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Sous Chef with a minimum of 3 years full-service experience and 6 months supervisory and coaching experience. The position involves overseeing culinary and utility staff, managing kitchen production, preparing and serving menu items, and ensuring proper sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff
- Oversee all culinary functions in the Chef’s absence, including staffing, food production, utility management, and kitchen sanitation
- Direct the preparation and service of all menu items, adhering to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, quality, dietary restrictions, and production forecasts
- Oversee the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years full-service experience required
- Minimum of 6 months supervisory and coaching experience required
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays
- Able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including hot kitchen to refrigerators and freezers

Must be able to work in a dynamic environment, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.

Pay
$60,000 - $70,000 per year.
