Sous Chef - Campus Dining Services
Assist in directing the daily operations of a unique and dynamic college residential dining facility. Help oversee assigned outlets to ensure procedures are followed and standards are met, delivering fast, high-quality, safe, and cost-efficient food production and service. Supervise both student and full-time staff, and administer systems for inventory, purchasing, pricing, production, merchandising, marketing, and sales to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Contribute to the department’s customer service goals by analyzing unit operations for effectiveness and compliance with objectives. Support strategic planning, policy development, budgeting, and marketing initiatives. Communicate with customers, staff, university groups, branded company personnel, and vendors. Participate in training, supervise student courses and interns, and assist in developing creative recipes and menus to enhance food quality, presentation, and value.

- Manage inventory, purchasing, pricing, production, merchandising, marketing, and sales
- Analyze unit operations for effectiveness and compliance with departmental objectives
- Support strategic planning, policy development, budgeting, and marketing initiatives
- Communicate with customers, staff, university groups, and vendors
- Participate in training and supervise student courses and interns
- Develop new recipes and menus to improve food quality, presentation, and value
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience

- ServSafe Certification
Pay
$54,000.00 - $58,000 annually
Schedule
Varied days and times, including weekends
