As a Technology Sourcing Expert in Jersey City, you will lead sourcing initiatives across IT, hardware, software, telecom, and emerging technologies. This client-facing role involves delivering value, shaping sourcing strategies, and building trusted relationships with global stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Role Purpose
Deliver high-impact, value-added sourcing services to our clients in a structured, professional, and consistent manner. You’ll act as a strategic advisor, market expert, and trusted partner, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Partner Engagement
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic advisor, translating business needs into actionable sourcing strategies.
- Influence decision-making through commercial insight and deep market expertise.
- Sourcing Strategy & Execution
- Lead complex, multi-region sourcing projects across IT categories including cybersecurity, software, SaaS, hosted platforms, networks, data centers, hardware, and telecom.
- Manage RFPs/RFIs, supplier evaluations, and selection processes with precision.
- Ensure alignment with client priorities, compliance standards, and risk frameworks.
- Commercial Strategy & Deal Structuring
- Analyze financial models and cost scenarios to inform negotiation strategies.
- Structure deals that deliver commercial advantage while ensuring operational fit and scalability.
- Drive cost savings and value creation without compromising service quality.
- Contracting & Compliance
- Draft and negotiate contracts including MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, amendments, and task orders.
- Ensure supplier performance, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to uphold policies and contractual integrity.
- Market Intelligence & Supplier Management
- Stay ahead of technology market trends, innovations, and regulatory shifts.
- Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Benchmark performance and drive supplier accountability.
- Governance & Quality Standards
- Apply Chain IQ and client sourcing methodologies and tools with precision.
- Contribute to category strategy development and optimization.

Requirements
- Professional Foundation
- More than a decade of progressive experience leading complex IT sourcing initiatives across hardware, software, telecom, cybersecurity, SaaS, and managed services categories.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic sourcing leader, balancing commercial rigor with policy alignment and enterprise risk considerations.
- Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar technology deals with global suppliers, delivering measurable value, continuity, and innovation for clients.
- Highly adaptable in dynamic, client-driven environments, with a consistent focus on quality, speed, and strategic outcomes.
- Technology Sourcing Expertise
- Deep understanding of the IT supplier landscape across the Americas and globally.
- Proven success leading sourcing engagements with major technology vendors, managing multi-million-dollar deals with strategic impact.
- Experience navigating complex procurement environments and delivering results in fast-paced, client-driven settings.

- Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts including MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and amendments.
- Familiarity with global regulatory requirements and data protection standards related to technology sourcing.
- Ability to manage engagement risk and ensure contractual integrity across regions.
- Technical Proficiency
- Skilled in sourcing platforms and tools such as SAP Ariba, Apadua, Jaggaer, Archlet, Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics dashboards.
- Comfortable working with benchmarks, market intelligence, and digital sourcing methodologies.

- Salary range for the New York City Metro Area: $120,000 to $170,000, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
