About the role

The Sourcing Specialist supports the development and execution of enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for assigned categories within the TRIMEDX Supply Chain. They collaborate with the Category Manager to deliver superior supplier value and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans for products and services in alignment with organizational mission and business needs.
  • Employ working knowledge of contractual relationships and discount structures.
  • Manage new supplier requests to ensure sourcing strategy compliance and supplier quality standards.
  • Help manage suppliers through Supplier Relationship Management practices such as contract management, scorecards, business reviews, and other methods required to ensure the company’s best interests are served.
  • Manage updates and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, cross-functional colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Align stakeholders through focused change management process.
  • Assist new and existing field operations in setup and understanding of the category management process.
  • Respond to internal customer questions concerning category management procedures and processes.
  • Help manage key suppliers through Supplier Relationship Management best practices.
  • Ensure all governmental, local laws and codes in addition to business ethics are adhered to when developing sourcing strategies, selecting suppliers, and supporting supplier contract negotiations.
  • Work to proactively provide solutions for all internal and external customers.
  • Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills to represent the department as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 or more years purchasing experience preferred.
  • Exposure to the healthcare industries preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform research and complex problem-solving.
  • Prioritize and manage diverse functions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.
  • Experience with process documentation and leading change within a team.
  • Ability to present at meetings and represent Value Chain to other departments and be a team lead on special projects.
  • Able to train and mentor others and act as team lead when required.
  • Strong team building, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop and nurture trusting relationships with Suppliers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel.
  • Strong background in data analysis and metric tracking.
  • Ability and desire to train and mentor others and act as team lead when required.
  • Strong team building, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop and nurture trusting relationships with Suppliers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel.
  • Strong background in data analysis and metric tracking.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Schedule

This position is Hybrid (a mix of remote & in-office). Employees may work from home or in the office based on the company's needs and policies.
