Sourcing Specialist

About the role

A premier global consumer products enterprise is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to oversee finished goods procurement and vendor relationships for its outdoor and performance apparel lines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage international suppliers to ensure alignment with corporate quality and compliance expectations.
• Act as sourcing lead for new product development, partnering with Product Development from initial concept through production handoff.
• Provide strategic input on material feasibility, manufacturing capabilities, and lead times.
• Drive cost negotiations and line costing analyses to hit target FOB and landed costs while identifying savings.
• Track supplier KPIs, including delivery timelines, quality acceptance, and factory capacity.
• Collaborate with Design, Planning, Merchandising, Quality, and Logistics to resolve supply chain challenges.
• Manage sample approval workflows and maintain seasonal tracking records.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of apparel sourcing, procurement, or vendor management experience.
• Background in outdoor or technical apparel and global supply chains (Asia, Americas, etc.) preferred.
• Proven track record in cost negotiations and project management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, costing tools, and enterprise PLM/ERP platforms (e.g., Centric, FlexPLM, SAP).
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
