About the role
Implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage sourcing activities for an assigned portfolio, maximizing supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) and supporting the business plan in the GeoUnit.
Responsibilities
- Document performance of action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects.
- Select a high-performance supply base for the assigned portfolio, adhering to a short-list of preferred suppliers defined by Category Managers.
- Conduct requests for information, quotation, proposal (RFI/Q/P), and bidding processes to minimize risk and maximize value in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through reviews, site visits, and audits in coordination with Supplier Quality teams to ensure supply capabilities, on-time delivery, quality, and service.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to meet specified quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with the Sourcing Manager and Contract Specialists.
- Drive parts and process qualification in coordination with Supplier Quality teams.
- Work closely with the Sourcing Manager or Sourcing Leader to guarantee supply for portfolios.
- Identify opportunities and implement actions to continually reduce wasted time, money, and resources from assigned tasks.
- Comply with Schlumberger and local procedures applicable to the job function.
Requirements
- A four-year (bachelor’s) degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in machined parts or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with rapid solution development.
- Comfortable using a variety of systems and adaptable to learning new software and technologies as needed.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
