SOURCING SPECIALIST
About the role
PRO*ACT is seeking a driven Sourcing Specialist to join our Procurement team! This individual will play a key role in sourcing high-quality produce, managing supplier relationships, and delivering market insight to support our growing network.
Responsibilities
- Provide value to distributors by sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices
- Maintain commodity expertise and provide proactive market intelligence to the organization
- Source and price P.O.s in a timely manner
- Forecast market trends, product quality, availability, and seasonal transitions; communicate updates to internal teams and distribution network
- Ensure order fulfillment by utilizing data and reports to hold supplier partners accountable; resolve shortfalls and quality issues
- Network and collaborate with internal team, distributor procurement and sales teams and suppliers to grow business
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, sourcing improvements, and program growth while monitoring supplier performance
- Serve in “on-call” rotation to manage after-hours sourcing needs and customer issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of produce experience required
- Expert level knowledge in at least 1 Produce Commodity required
- High level of Customer Service required
- Strong team player able to assist other team members when needed required
- High level of proficiency with Windows-based product management software required
- Able to flex priorities as needed required

Compensation
$90,000 – $125,000/annually
