Sourcing Partner, Talent Acquisition

About the Role

As a Sourcing Partner at Sofar Ocean, you will be at the forefront of our recruiting efforts, focusing on identifying, engaging, and building relationships with top-tier talent in the maritime and climate tech industry. You will partner closely with our People Team and hiring managers to deeply understand our hiring needs and source candidates who will thrive in our fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage top-tier talent for technical and industry-specialist roles
• Build long-term relationships with potential hires through thoughtful outreach
• Collaborate with the People Team and hiring managers to understand hiring needs
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet and exceed recruiting goals
• Utilize Boolean search, ATS tools (Ashby), and creative channels beyond LinkedIn to find talent
• Own the sourcing strategy and pipeline, operating independently with minimal guidance

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical sourcing or recruiting, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of technical roles, skills, and the tech landscape
• Track record of sourcing for technical and industry-specialist roles simultaneously
• Experience with Boolean search, ATS tools, and creative sourcing channels
• Passion for Sofar Ocean’s mission to connect the world’s oceans and drive innovative solutions for ocean health and sustainability

Pay

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000. The actual compensation package will be based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and equity package.
