Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies to optimize cost, quality, service levels, and business value.
- Manage assigned indirect spend categories, identifying opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, innovation, and risks within assigned categories.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, from strategy development through supplier selection and contract execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organizational objectives.
- Negotiate, execute, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Source and negotiate complex Professional Services agreements, including consulting, contingent labor, managed services, and other knowledge-based service categories.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes, supplier performance, and overall procurement effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate supply, commercial, operational, and financial risks within assigned categories.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement experience, including ownership of indirect spend categories within a complex corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing Professional Services categories, including consulting, contingent workforce, managed services, and other indirect services.
- Proven track record developing and executing category strategies that deliver cost savings, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and business value.
- Experience leading competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs) and managing supplier evaluation and selection processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience leveraging spend analysis, market intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, industry trends, and strategic sourcing best practices across indirect procurement categories.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with sourcing, procurement, contract lifecycle management, and spend analysis tools.
