Sourcing Manager II - Electrical & Electronics

Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Commodity Managers responsible for Electrical and Electronics sourcing strategy across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement long-term sourcing strategies for key electrical and electronic components (e.g., PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, cable assemblies).
- Lead cost optimization initiatives, including value engineering and supplier negotiations, to achieve measurable savings.
- Drive strategic decisions on sourcing models, including purchasing directly from OEMs versus through distribution channels to optimize cost, availability, and inventory strategies.
- Build and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation, quality, and supply continuity.
- Guide supplier selection, qualification, and performance management processes.
- Enhance cross-functional collaboration and improve sourcing excellence through best practices, tools, and data-driven insights.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a relatively large supply chain organization is preferred.
- Passion for leading and developing people.
- Experience leading complex categories, preferably Electrical and Electronics.
- Strong negotiation skills including experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work comfortably in ambiguity.
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, global environment driving results through influence and collaboration.
- Able to travel a minimum of 15%.

Pay
Pay Transparency: nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
