The Supply Chain Team

The Supply Chain Team is working on key problems such as supplying tens of gigawatts of compute, qualifying and dual-sourcing critical equipment, and building accurate supply chain prediction modeling. The team's goal is to make supply chain the reason we build faster than anyone, with a focus on procurement and schedule compression.

• Supply tens of gigawatts of compute, the largest build out of compute in history.
• Qualify and dual-source across every critical equipment category, with lead-time and capacity thresholds tied directly to the forward build pipeline.
• Build the most accurate supply chain prediction modelling that exists.

Role Scope

The role involves owning the fiber and optics category, including transceivers, fiber cabling, and connectivity components. Responsibilities include negotiating volume agreements, dual-sourcing transceiver types, and forecasting optics demand.

• Own the fiber and optics category: transceivers, fiber cabling, and connectivity components at hundreds of thousands of terminations per building.
• Negotiate volume agreements on optics where unit price times quantity makes small percentages worth millions.
• Dual-source transceiver types and manage interop qualification so second sources are real, not theoretical.
• Forecast optics demand from network designs and keep supply ahead of installation crews.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with experience sourcing optics, fiber, or connectivity components at high volume, and a strong understanding of optics. The ideal candidate will have qualified second-source components and managed engineering skepticism, and will be able to track consumption against forecast and correct early.

• You understand optics well enough (form factors, reaches, compatibility) to catch a spec mismatch before it ships.
• You've qualified second-source components and managed the engineering skepticism that comes with it.
• You track consumption against forecast weekly and correct early.

Bonus experience includes 800G/1.6T optics markets, cable assembly manufacturing, interop testing programs, and commodity price hedging.

Pay

Compensation Range: $239K - $278K
