Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage sourcing and procurement strategies for production materials, raw materials, utilities, outside services, and other business-critical supply needs.
- Oversee supplier relationship management, including sourcing, negotiation, onboarding support, performance tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor demand, supply, lead times, and inventory thresholds to help maintain appropriate inventory levels and support production schedules.
- Partner with operations, finance/accounting, quality, logistics, planning, and distribution teams to resolve supply, inventory, and vendor performance matters.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction, process-improvement, and supply chain risk-mitigation opportunities across sourcing and inventory management activities.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation related to procurement, supplier performance, inventory levels, process compliance, and related financial considerations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations, finance, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, inventory planning, or a related function.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, cost management, supplier performance, production planning, inventory controls, and supply chain risk mitigation.
- Prioritize effective analysis of data, evaluation of tradeoffs, identification of trends, and making recommendations that support cost, quality, service, and inventory objectives.
- Proven ability to negotiate, communicate, solve problems, and manage stakeholders across functions.
- Proficiency with procurement, ERP, MRP, inventory management, or related business systems, as well as Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
