About the role

The Sourcing Manager will lead and execute sourcing strategies that support the company's growth objectives. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, managing supplier costs, negotiating lead times, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and make informed sourcing decisions.
  • Source and develop raw materials in multiple countries, ensuring compliance with customer quality and cost requirements.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze supplier costs and quotes, recommending supplier allocation based on feedback.
  • Create and update the LD & sampling allocation plan, communicating changes to cross-functional teams.
  • Negotiate development lead times and fabric qualities with suppliers, focusing on cost savings without compromising design or quality.
  • Track and monitor raw material comments, following up on approvals and due dates.
  • Review and approve raw materials, communicating approvals and next steps to cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues as needed, and communicate with internal and external teams to drive development progress.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met and material decisions support design intent, quality standards, and commercial targets.
  • Build, maintain, and organize raw material libraries, leveraging qualities across the organization and improving development workflows.
  • Support quality and compliance initiatives, including testing and updating status with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and develop the Sourcing Assistant, providing clear priorities, training, and feedback.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sourcing activities and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, merchandising, textiles, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, product development, or related fields, preferably in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with PLM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
