About the role
The Sourcing Manager will oversee supplier management for assigned commodities such as filters and pumps within the pool and spa industry. Key responsibilities include optimizing sourcing operations, managing new product development, supplier selection, and negotiating contracts.
Responsibilities
- Manage suppliers for assigned commodities
- Optimize sourcing operations
- Maintain high standards of quality and reliability
- Support and defend procurement strategy with marketing and engineering teams
- Participate in discussions with marketing and engineering teams
- Identify, analyze, and execute sourcing opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
- Monitor KPIs and develop/implement improvement plans
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams on sourcing projects
- Provide regular reports to senior management
- Lead sourcing activities for assigned new products
- Own the Packaging and Labor commodities
- Deliver cost savings
- Drive development initiatives
- Evolve the Packaging and Labor categories continuously
Requirements
- 6+ years overall in Supply Chain, with at least 5 years in a Sourcing role
- Proven experience as a sourcing manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably in manufacturing or retail
- Strong negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in procurement tools, such as ERP systems and supplier management platforms
- Knowledge of sourcing best practices, supply chain principles, and contract management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Experience with ERP and business analytics systems, such as OBI preferred
- Advanced degree or ISM Certified preferred
- Experience working with international teams, particularly with China, Spain, Mexico, Australia preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field
