About the Role

As a Sourcing Manager at CBRE, you will manage a team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services. You will assist clients or departments with developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies, particularly for large manufacturing clients. This role is part of the Procurement function, focusing on sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials from vendors and suppliers. Some travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, including work schedules, task assignments, and cross-training.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, operational shared services teams, and sponsors to develop and execute sourcing strategies at local and regional levels.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and business documents for purchasing goods and services.
  • Manage contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals.
  • Inform peers and corporate management of changes or results.
  • Oversee supplier and contractor certification processes.
  • Conduct periodic visits to supplier work locations to review vendor performance.
  • Mentor and educate on contemporary outsourcing practices and their value.
  • Analyze facility management services spend, suppliers, operations, and statements of work to identify value-creation opportunities.
  • Assist with creating RFPs, selecting solutions, and negotiating contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain contracts with national and regional service providers, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE’s RISE values.
  • Influence parties to reach agreements on shared interests and handle sensitive issues.
  • Apply knowledge of procurement and cross-disciplinary integration to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues in existing systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, performance measurement, and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide sensitive, complex, and difficult information exchanges, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate teams and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The minimum salary for the Sourcing Manager role is $100,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $130,000 annually. Compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
