Sourcing Engineer

About the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing electrical and electronic components, equipment, and materials from local and international suppliers. They will evaluate technical specifications, product quality, and supplier capabilities, analyze circuit diagrams, electrical drawings, and component specifications to ensure technical compatibility, coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to meet sourcing requirements, negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers, identify alternative sources and equivalent components to optimize cost and availability, maintain supplier database, and monitor supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Source electrical and electronic components, equipment, and materials from local and international suppliers.
• Evaluate technical specifications, product quality, and supplier capabilities.
• Analyze circuit diagrams, electrical drawings, and component specifications to ensure technical compatibility.
• Cook up coordination with engineering, production, and procurement teams to meet sourcing requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Identify alternative sources and equivalent components to optimize cost and availability.
• Maintain supplier database and monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure timely procurement while maintaining quality standards and budget compliance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE).
