Sourcing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Engineer to work with our team in Basom, NY.

About the role

In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager, develop a strategic sourcing roadmap, including defined commodity strategies.

• Supplier onboarding, management, and exit
• Perform supplier audits as required
• Align with Quality Team to ensure suppliers meet/exceed quality targets. Drive corrective actions/countermeasures with underperforming suppliers
• Improve supplier on-time delivery to meet/exceed targets. Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for underperforming suppliers
• Implement cost reduction strategies across the supplier base using a Total Cost of Ownership model
• Work directly with the purchase planning team to ensure purchasing and stocking strategies align with corporate working capital targets
• Coordinate with Engineering Team on design specifications for approved parts
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) with key suppliers
• Create, manage, and communicate RFQs for both new and existing products
• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team including Supply Chain, Quality, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales
• Compliance with all company safety and ethics requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive procurement experience
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Strong negotiation abilities
• Functional ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Recent SAP experience
• Ability to use data mining tools – Power BI, etc.
• Self-motivated to drive KPI improvement

Pay

$79,530.00 - $99,420.00
