Sourcing Analyst - Specialized (IT) & Non-Standard Requests

About the role

The Sourcing Analyst – Specialized (IT) role at Vanguard is responsible for leading low and medium complexity sourcing transactions. This includes facilitating discussions with leadership and suppliers, managing competitive bidding processes, and evaluating vendors against contracts and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Leads low and medium complexity sourcing transactions based on business needs.
• Facilitates discussions on relationship, cost, and capabilities with leadership and suppliers.
• Manages the RFx process, supports supplier analysis, pricing models, and partnership opportunities.
• Evaluates vendors against contracts, data analysis, and knowledge of a specific category.
• Drives engagements through defined sourcing processes, resolves issues, and involves stakeholders as needed.
• Interfaces with other Sourcing teams, business owners, and Legal & Risk partners for each transaction.
• Creates and maintains vendor operations dashboard to analyze statistics and deliver outcomes.
• Ensures suppliers have instruction and technical support.
• Participates in strategic vendor-related initiatives, providing relationship and project management expertise.
• Coordinates multiple stakeholders for input and collaboration on procurement activities.
• Oversees vendor invoicing and contract review and approvals.
• Proactively considers and suggests vendor alternatives and contract timelines.
• Safeguards adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
• Supports special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three years of related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Nice-to-have skills: IT sourcing background, exposure to data and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and experience supporting day-to-day sourcing activities in a fast-paced environment. Strong decision-making, prioritization, and communication skills are also valued.
