Sourcing Analyst
About the role
The Sourcing Analyst identifies, researches, and evaluates suppliers that meet the standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of products and services. This role supports the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process by partnering with business stakeholders, suppliers, procurement teams, legal partners, and contract management teams to execute sourcing initiatives efficiently and effectively.
The analyst manages multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, helping internal clients navigate supplier selection, contract review, onboarding, and operational execution. This role serves as a key point of coordination across stakeholders, ensuring sourcing activities align with procurement policies, contractual requirements, and business objectives. Success requires strong organization, attention to detail, responsiveness, communication skills, and the ability to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Leads and prepares medium to high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services.
- Performs supply market data analysis and recommends suppliers and vendors to the business.
- Identifies and stays knowledgeable of industry trends and category strategies.
- Drives engagements, resolves issues, and involves stakeholders as needed.
- Interfaces with other sourcing operations teams, business leaders, and legal & risk partners for each transaction.
- Ensures proper closure of transactions, including successful handoff to purchasing and payables associates, validation of supplier compliance with payment terms, and delivery of documents to the contracting team in good order.
- Supports adherence to procurement policies and procedures, ensuring fair business practices and procurement of products and services at the best execution and price.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Five years of related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
