Sourcing Analyst

About the Role

Mohawk Industries is a Fortune 500, global flooring leader with well-known brands in the industry. As a Sourcing Analyst, you will work closely with the Procurement team to analyze and optimize sourcing strategies, focusing on data interpretation, trend identification, and collaboration with suppliers to achieve cost savings and enhance procurement efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity from intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyze commodity requirements, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and delivery dates.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals for requested commodities.
• Investigate and interview potential suppliers to ensure they meet specified requirements.
• Advise team members or management on appropriate suppliers.
• Negotiate the lowest possible cost while balancing quality and schedule needs.
• Implement purchase contracts compliant with company and government regulations.
• Ensure commodities are delivered on schedule, at negotiated prices, and meet quality standards.
• Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents for accurate record retention.
• Coordinate cost-effective distribution methods for commodities.
• Maintain contact with internal partners to determine short and long-term demand.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles, as well as industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
