What You'll Do
- Own full-lifecycle sourcing for Hardware Engineering roles across Palo Alto, Austin, and other sites
- Develop and execute creative, multi-channel sourcing strategies (LinkedIn, referrals, conferences, GitHub, hardware communities, targeted outreach, Boolean searches, etc.) to attract top passive talent from competitors, startups, research institutions, and academia
- Build and maintain a deep talent pipeline for critical and high-priority hardware roles
- Pivot and work closely with Hardware leadership and recruiters to deeply understand technical requirements, team needs, and hiring priorities
- Conduct initial candidate outreach and engagement, pitch Tesla’s mission and opportunities, and generate strong candidate interest
- Track sourcing effectiveness, provide market insights on talent availability, and continuously refine sourcing approaches
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of full-cycle technical sourcing experience, preferably in hardware engineering, electronics, battery cell engineering, robotics, or consumer electronics
- Strong understanding of hardware engineering concepts and ability to discuss technical requirements credibly with candidates up to Staff/Principal Engineer level
- Proven track record of sourcing and engaging passive senior-level candidates in highly competitive markets
- Expert-level proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, alternative sourcing tools, and creative outreach techniques
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; you thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Strong passion for Tesla’s mission and comfort working in a high-performance, results-oriented culture
