SOTIF Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOTIF activities and supporting processes across the development and operations of autonomous driving systems
• Conduct STPA analysis and develop safety requirements in compliance with ISO 21448
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated into the design and validation
• Provide guidance and training to team members on SOTIF safety practices and methodologies

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in transportation engineering, statistics, biomedical engineering and mechanics, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, physics etc.
• Experience with safety standards including ISO26262, ISO 21448, and UL 4600
• Strong fundamentals in mathematics, engineering and physics
• Experience with SOTIF for autonomous vehicles
• Strong technical communication skills and teamwork spirit

Preferences

• PhD’s degree with 5+ years of automotive, robotics, aerospace or related industry experience
• Experience in leading small teams of SOTIF safety engineers
• Experience in the automotive self driving industry

Pay

Salary Range: $75k—$300k USD
