About the role
Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound exams by expertly maneuvering transducers to capture high-definition images needed for life-saving medical interpretations.
Identify critical anatomical structures and pathologies in real-time, providing radiologists with the precise data required to make accurate diagnoses.
Optimize the patient care journey by meticulously validating image quality and patient history within the PACS system for seamless clinical review.
Ensure a safe, high-functioning environment by conducting rigorous quality control checks and maintaining equipment to meet the highest regulatory and safety standards.
Support departmental excellence by maintaining a sterile, organized clinical space that prioritizes patient comfort and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound exams by expertly maneuvering transducers to capture high-definition images needed for life-saving medical interpretations.
- Identify critical anatomical structures and pathologies in real-time, providing radiologists with the precise data required to make accurate diagnoses.
- Optimize the patient care journey by meticulously validating image quality and patient history within the PACS system for seamless clinical review.
- Ensure a safe, high-functioning environment by conducting rigorous quality control checks and maintaining equipment to meet the highest regulatory and safety standards.
- Support departmental excellence by maintaining a sterile, organized clinical space that prioritizes patient comfort and efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered or board-eligible for one of following: Diagnostic Med. Sonography, Radiologic Technologist, Sonography, Radiologic Technologist, Vascular Sonography, Vascular Specialist, or Vascular Technologist obtained within 6 months of hire/ transfer.
- Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered or board-eligible for one of following: Diagnostic Med. Sonography, Radiologic Technologist, Sonography, Radiologic Technologist, Vascular Sonography, Vascular Specialist, or Vascular Technologist obtained within 6 months of hire/ transfer.
- Registered Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
