Responsibilities
- Perform sophisticated diagnostic ultrasound procedures, skillfully maneuvering transducers to capture high-definition images of anatomy and pathology that guide accurate patient diagnoses.
- Evaluate real-time clinical findings and physiological structures to differentiate between normal tissue and significant abnormalities, ensuring the medical team has a comprehensive view of the patient’s health.
- Optimize image quality and data integrity within the PACS system, ensuring that every scan—complete with precise markers and history—supports a seamless transition from exam to interpretation.
- Champion a safe and high-standard clinical environment by rigorously maintaining equipment performance and adhering to quality control protocols to ensure zero-compromise patient safety.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Maryland Board of Physicians required ONLY if an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is held.
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
