Job Description
To operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform ultrasound procedures on various anatomical internal organs, vessels, fluid accumulations, masses, and developing fetuses.
To report preliminary findings, measurements, and diagnoses to appropriate personnel (Radiologist or Cardiologist).
To record scanned ultrasound images and transfer to imaging system for interpretation after checking for quality.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Currently credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR currently registered as a Registered Technologist with Sonography Designation (R.T.(S)(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR currently credentialed as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in area(s) of specialization OR applicable registration within one (1) year for new graduates required.
