Sonographer - PRN

About the Role

Is responsible for the production of high-quality sonograms in an efficient manner while ensuring the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients under their care. Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Possesses full knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment, software, and computer systems used to maintain patient information and diagnostic images (PACS).

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program (Associate's degree preferred).
• Current overview and knowledge of operations within a hospital or outpatient Ultrasound Department.
• Solid foundation of knowledge regarding all diagnostic medical ultrasound systems and exams.
• RDMS-Sonographer certification (preferred).
• American Heart Association CPR Healthcare Provider Certification.
• RVT-Registered Vascular Tech certification (preferred).
