About the role

The Associate Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment and software to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain high-quality imaging standards while ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR registered sonographer.
• State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Obtained ARDMS or ARRT or CCI registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
• Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation.
• Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
