With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.

Responsibilities

  • Performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed.
  • Acts as a lead to the other Sonographers within the unit to train, coach, and mentor as needed.
  • Gathers, reviews, and prepares items and documentation necessary for submission of AIUM.
  • Reviews results of AIUM submission and works with Practice Manager to resolve any outstanding items needed.
  • Captures and documents nuchal translucency scans, fetal surveys, hysterosonograms, and 3D-4D scans.
  • Evaluates the images for quality and interprets the captured information.
  • Coordinates time off for sonographers within the unit and prepares work schedules ensuring necessary coverage.
  • Adjusts schedule and rotates sonography coverage to accommodate members of the sonography team calling out.
  • Provides coaching and training to sonographers within the unit to ensure scans meet the needs of medical providers.
  • Partners with the Practice Manager and Patient Access Supervisor when overbooking is causing quality concerns.
  • Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Complies with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid ARDMS certification with a specialty in OBGYN or Abdomen.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent OBGYN experience.
  • Experience with 3D-4D scans.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop others.
  • Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers, and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
