Sonographer

About the Role

The Ultrasound Tech performs ultrasound exams on patients as ordered by physicians in an ethical and professional manner. Assists in all aspects of the Radiology and Ultrasound Department.

Requirements

• Must be registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in any of the following disciplines: Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular.
• Sufficient sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills to deal with apprehensive patients and family in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Positive and effective communication skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
• Ability to think and act quickly to deliver efficient, quality care in a variety of stressful situations.
• Working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment.
