Sonographer

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the Sonographer is responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment in a safe manner while exercising independent judgment in order to obtain diagnostic images on patients of all ages for subsequent evaluation by a qualified physician.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Must have completed an Ultrasound Academic Program.
• Minimum Experience/Skills: 1+ years experience as a Sonographer is preferred.
• License/Certificates/Credentials:
  • Must be registered by ARDMS. RDMS is required at time of hire with a certification in one of the three specialties (Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular).
  • The second specialty certification must be obtained within 12 months and the third specialty certification must be obtained within 18 months.
  • All three specialties must be obtained within 18 months as a condition of employment.
  • Must have current BLS Certification.

Pay

$46.97 - $63.11 hourly
