RealPage is seeking a Solution Representative to support sales of SimpleBills, our industry-leading utility management platform serving student housing and single-family rental portfolios.
About The Role
The Solution Representative serves as a solution specialist and second chair, partnering closely with Account Representatives (ARs) to drive discovery, positioning, pricing, and deal execution. This is not a long-term relationship; ownership role success depends on your ability to influence deals through deep product knowledge and consultative guidance, while supporting a large book of accounts across multiple markets. You’ll engage prospects, qualify opportunities, deliver compelling demos, and help shape solution strategy for student housing and single-family rental operators.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Representatives on the full sales cycle: discovery, value positioning, proposal development, pricing, and execution.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for SimpleBills and RealPage Utility Management solutions.
- Deliver high-impact demos and presentations, often alongside Sales Engineers.
- Build and present ROI models that quantify operational and financial benefits.
- Ensure opportunities in your pipeline are well qualified and progressed efficiently.
- Conduct targeted outreach to student housing and single-family rental operators.
- Uncover whitespace opportunities within existing accounts supported by ARs.
- Maintain a strong funnel through disciplined outbound activity and follow-up.
- Collaborate with ARs and Sales Managers to coordinate territory and account strategies.
- Participate in client meetings, industry events, and trade shows (some evenings/weekends).
- Support implementation follow-up as needed for new wins.
Qualifications
- Preferred Expertise: Utility management experience (highly preferred)
- Exposure to: Purpose-built student housing, Single-family rental portfolios, Multifamily operations
- Background in SaaS or services-based solution sales
- Experience simplifying complex concepts for operators, owners, and asset managers
- Consultative selling mindset with strong discovery and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly self-educate on technical products and industry-specific workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including presenting to large groups and executive audiences
- Highly organized, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Required Background: Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant sales experience
- Minimum of 4 years of inside or field sales with a track record of exceeding quotas
- Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
- Industry certifications (IREM, NAA) are a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
Pay Range
USD $74,700.00 - USD $127,300.00 /Yr.
