About the role

This role can be based in any United States Amazon location that is within driving distance of an airport to support frequent travel.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing MHE software configurations and identify performance gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve throughput, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Create technical specifications and architecture documents for proposed solutions
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of software optimization projects from scoping through go-live
  • Manage system integrations between MHE controls, enterprise software (ERP/WMS), and middleware
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and validation of software changes in live environments
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and IT teams to understand business requirements and pain points
  • Present solution proposals, ROI analyses, and business cases to leadership
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfers for customer staff
  • Provide 24/7 Tier 2/3 technical support for controls-related MHE issues
  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and capital planning for MHE investments
  • Handle flexible workload which may come from management or operations.
  • Travel up to 70%

Requirements

  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • Experience in automation or complex MHE environments
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
  • Expertise with Studio5000, Ignition, Codesys and related controls software environments
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Master's degree or above in engineering, management, or technology
  • Systems controls design or programming experience
  • Systems trainer or training experience
  • Proven history of delivering continuous improvement across large networks

SkillsExperience with Studio5000, Ignition, Codesys and related controls software environments
  • Ability to analyze throughput data, system performance metrics, and identify bottlenecks
  • Expertise with modern programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle flexible workload and travel up to 70%

    Pay

    The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
