Solutions Engineer Manager (Pre-Sales)

Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to drive technical excellence and customer outcomes.
- Shape and execute the Solutions Engineering strategy to support revenue growth and product adoption.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to align SE resources with enterprise opportunities and customer segments.
- Develop scalable processes, methodologies, and enablement frameworks to drive operational excellence.
- Support high-impact customer engagements, demonstrating Fonoa’s platform value to technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, translating feedback into product insights.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning across the SE organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or similar roles, including 4+ years in a leadership position.
- Experience building and scaling SE functions in B2B enterprise SaaS, ideally within fintech, tax tech, or API-driven platforms.
- Thrive at the intersection of technology and business, simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Empathetic leader who develops talent, builds trust, and drives results through collaboration.
- Comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced environments and balancing long-term goals with hands-on execution.
- Strong communication skills, executive presence, and a track record of influencing technical and commercial decisions.
- Experience selling into the office of the CFO or indirect tax is a plus.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop a team of technical professionals.
- Experience with tax compliance and tax technology.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $250,000 + commission + equity + benefits. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, the candidate's years of experience, qualifications, relevant skill set, certifications, and geographic office location.
