Solutions Engineer
About the role
The Solutions Engineer acts as a critical link between WITRON’s Business Development and Engineering teams and our customers. In this role, you will support the full solution development lifecycle—from early customer engagement through concept design and project handoff. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you will help translate customer requirements into innovative, data-driven intralogistics solutions. This position plays a key role in shaping highly automated warehouse systems that are efficient, scalable, and aligned with customer business goals.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary liaison between customers in North America and WITRON’s Design Center in Germany
- Partner with customers to gather, validate, and interpret operational, technical, and business requirements
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to support system design and solution development
- Collaborate with internal engineering and design teams to develop customized automated warehouse concepts
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and solution proposals to customers
- Support cost analysis, design validation, and feasibility studies during the sales process
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between customer expectations and engineering deliverables
- Assist with the transition and handoff of awarded projects to Project Management and Implementation teams
- Continuously contribute to process improvements, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field required
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical, engineering, or solutions-based role
- Experience working in logistics, warehouse operations, automation, or manufacturing environments is a plus

- Technical Aptitude: Foundational knowledge of industrial automation, material handling, or warehouse systems
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical engineering solutions
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technical solutions with customer business objectives
- Customer Focus: Strong relationship-building skills with a consultative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Project Awareness: Understanding of project lifecycles and ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
Technical Tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or REVIT preferred
Language Skills
German language skills are a plus, but not required
Travel & Training
- Participation in an immersive training program, including extended visits to WITRON Headquarters in Parkstein, Germany
- Frequent travel required across the U.S., Canada, and Europe to support customer engagement and project development

Pay
Starting salary: $70,000 plus depending on experience
