Solutions Engineer
Why this role?
- Runs technical discovery calls to understand a prospect's development environment, security posture, and priorities
- Delivers tailored product demonstrations that connect Snyk's capabilities to a prospect's specific technical needs
- Designs and leads proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations, guiding prospects to a successful technical validation
- Pairs with Account Executives to build and support technical champions within prospect organizations
- Responds to security questionnaires, RFPs, and RFIs with clear, accurate technical detail
- Builds and maintains demo environments and POC infrastructure
- Relays customer and prospect feedback to Snyk's Product and Engineering teams
What You'll Do
What You Bring
- 2-5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a related technical pre-sales role — or comparable experience in software development, DevOps, or security engineering
- A foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle, application security concepts, and/or cloud-native architectures
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
- Experience running product demos and/or supporting technical proof-of-concepts
- A collaborative, curious mindset with a bias for action
Requirements
Based in the Northeast United States, or in Ontario or Quebec, Canada

- Have hands-on experience with LLMs or are exploring how AI-assisted coding impacts the security landscape
- Contribute to open-source projects or are an active voice in the developer/security community
- Genuinely enjoy digging into technical problems and explaining them simply
Compensation
Annual Base Salary Range: $106,400 – $133,000
Target Commission Range: $45,600 – $57,000 (at 100% attainment of sales)
