Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Making ongoing recommendations of solution standards and system configurations.
• Analyzing the systems and requirements to provide best technical solutions.
• Defining systems requirements and specifications.
• Providing design reviews, planning, developing and resolving technical issues.
• Driving the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive solution architecture viewpoint.
• Delivering highly complex solution & Design using in-depth knowledge within the business domain.
• Maintaining reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintaining compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Aiding in technical presentations and info-sharing sessions to create a clear and uniform understanding of the new systems to various constituents within.
• Providing Level-2 support and involving in resolution of technical issues as they arise.
• Assisting with the overall system design and architecture.
• Creating roadmap documents, architectural documents, process documents, standards documents and governance documents.
• At times, assisting with client and project engagements to document technical requirements for database, applications, integration, infrastructure, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Associate’s degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
• Four years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor’s degree (in addition to the Requirements Listed In The Experience Section).
• One (1) related certification required – Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, Storage or Cloud.
• Three (3) years of hands on experience in a technical environment and/or solutions implementation role, including experience with Network Infrastructure, VoIP, Computing, Virtualization and Storage.
