Solutions Engineer
About the role
The Netskope Solutions Engineer will join with full support of the executive team. This is an opportunity for a sales professional with a history of dominating their territory and who wants to impact the next iconic cloud security company. You will work closely with customers and partners as their primary point of contact for feedback and issue resolution, acting as the customers’ advocate for issues requiring HQ Support assistance. You will provide feedback to the Product Management team on new feature requests and product enhancements from your customer base. Heavy travel within the territory and as necessary to support other company-based engagements within the US is required. Responsibilities
- Exceed sales targets by articulating the high-level benefits of Netskope's architecture to senior security management up to CISO and CIO levels.
- Construct best practices for presentations, demos, and Proof of Concept/Value exercises, as well as overall win strategy.
- Take an active role in regional customer success and help resolve customer satisfaction issues, escalating cross-functionally when needed.
- Understand customer needs and position Netskope’s product as the best solution addressing those requirements and providing business value.
- Present the Netskope cloud security solution to prospective customers and create and deliver product demonstrations.
- Gather customer technical requirements and provide insight on competitive solutions, differentiating Netskope’s offerings.
- Work trade shows as necessary and create evaluation test plans with customers and partners, managing the evaluation process to a successful conclusion.
- Lead Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and present at conferences and seminars.
- Respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience as a Solutions/System Engineer with a proven track record presenting technical information at the business executive or architect level.
- Strong empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, comfortable addressing both technical and senior executive audiences.
- Ability to scale from whiteboard discussions with security architects to influencing CISOs.
- Passion for helping customers and delivering satisfaction, even in challenging situations.
- Demonstrable experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of Linux, macOS, and Windows-based systems.
- Proficient in mobile device technologies (MDM/MAM) and OS such as Android and iOS.
- Knowledge of certificates, key management systems, HSM, and related protocols.
- Hands-on experience with information security solutions such as Web Proxy, NGFW, Security Gateways, remote access and site-to-site VPN technologies, SAML/SSO, DLP, data security, and regex expressions.
- Experience working with Cloud Identity Providers, SCIM, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and SD-WAN deployments and integrations.
- Experience with Active Directory Services including ADFS; working knowledge of Azure AD is desired.
- Experience working with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
- Working knowledge of the broader threat landscape and ability to distill technology trends and explain complex behaviors in simple terms.
- Experience working in and selling cloud-based technologies (SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS).
- Travel within the region as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience with scripting languages such as Python and REST API frameworks.
- Prior experience with other vendor cloud security solutions.
- Strong security skills including hands-on experience with Bluecoat, Symantec, McAfee, Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CCSE, GCFW, PCNSE, JNCIS-SEC/JNCIP-ENT, GCIH).
- Agile Scrum Certification (CSPO, CSM, or CSP) or Project Management Certification (PMP).
- Advanced level network technology certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CCSP, JNCIE).
Qualifications
Relevant Bachelor’s degree; preference for computer science or related degrees.
Pay
This is a national range for the position. The salary range is $177,500—$280,500 USD. For sales roles, this represents the On Target Earnings (OTE) range, which includes base salary and target commission at 100% goal achievement. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions. In addition to salary, candidates may be eligible for participation in a bonus plan (for non-sales roles), a stock award program, and a comprehensive health plan and other benefits.
