Solutions Director
About the role
We are seeking a Solutions Director to act as a senior implementation leader within our Solution Consulting organization. The Solutions Director will take ownership of implementation success for strategic, global, and highly complex customer deployments, including multi-entity, multi-ERP integrations, and complex change management. This role involves leading the most complex projects, partnering with C-suite executives, defining implementation strategies, driving leadership development, and establishing governance and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead Our Most Complex Projects: Serve as the Executive Sponsor and senior implementation authority on strategic, Fortune 500, and highly customized enterprise deployments. Partner directly with C-suite executives and key customer stakeholders to navigate organizational complexity, mitigate deployment risk, and ensure time-to-value.
- Define Implementation Strategy & Playbooks: Evaluate current delivery methodologies and design scalable, repeatable processes for discovery, solution architecture, workflow design, and testing. Drive standardization across the team without sacrificing flexibility.
- Drive Leadership Development: Act as a player-coach and mentor to Senior Implementation Managers and Solutions Architects. Provide strategic guidance on project governance, stakeholder management, and technical delivery while fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Cross-Functional Executive Alignment: Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success leadership. Translate complex implementation learnings and customer feedback into actionable product roadmap inputs and pre-sales scoping improvements.
- Establish Governance & Quality Standards: Implement rigorous project health monitoring, risk escalation frameworks, and quality assurance standards to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction (CSAT) and net revenue retention (NRR).
Requirements
- Senior Implementation Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise software implementation, professional services, solutions architecture, or management consulting—with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership or director-level capacity at a SaaS or B2B enterprise technology company.
- Proven Enterprise Mastery: Demonstrated success overseeing complex, multi-workstream deployments for large-scale enterprises (e.g., integrations with major ERPs like Workday, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle; global rollouts; complex compliance and security requirements).
- Strategic Process Builder: A track record of scaling professional services or implementation teams from startup/mid-market to enterprise maturity by designing robust methodologies, playbooks, and KPIs.
- Passionate People Leader: Exceptional focus on mentorship and leadership development. You take pride in coaching individual contributors into top-tier strategic advisors and future team managers.
- Executive Presence: Outstanding communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Comfortable challenging assumptions, managing scope creep, and guiding C-level customer stakeholders through transformative change.
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with procurement, finance, accounting, accounts payable (AP automation), or supply chain workflows is a strong plus.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement, finance, accounting, and supply chain management systems. Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Skills
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor a team of professionals.
- Customer Focus: Strong understanding of customer needs and expectations.
- Change Management: Experience in implementing change management strategies.
Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: Top-tier salary, generous equity packages, and comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Flexibility: Work in an environment that values autonomy, ownership, and results over micromanagement.
- Perks & Benefits: Start-up equity, full health, vision & dental coverage, catered lunches & dinners for hybrid employees, commuter benefit, team building events & happy hours, flexible PTO, Apple equipment plus home office budget, 401k plan.
