Solutions Architect, Retail - Travel & Hospitality

The Role

We are seeking experienced pre-sales professionals with a proven track record in helping large enterprises become more data-driven. This role involves working closely with Account Executives to define and direct the technical strategy for our largest and most important accounts, driving the adoption of Databricks’ products and services.

Responsibilities

• Work with 1-5 clients as the main technical voice for Databricks
• Lead customers through a transformational journey, helping them evaluate and adopt Databricks as part of their strategy
• Implement the technical strategy in the account, aligning with the overall strategy
• Build a network of technical champions within the account
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with large (> $1m ARR) enterprises in the Retail and CPG space
• 3+ years of experience in pre-sales or supporting sales activities
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies
• Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
• 3+ years of experience with design and implementation of big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP or full lifecycle data science solutions
• Experience maintaining and extending production data systems to meet evolving customer needs
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
