Solutions Architect, Retail - Travel & Hospitality

The Role

We are seeking experienced pre-sales professionals with a proven history of helping large enterprises leverage data and artificial intelligence effectively. This role involves defining and directing the technical strategy for key accounts, ensuring the successful adoption of Databricks products.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Account Executives to define and execute technical strategies for major accounts
• Lead customers through a transformational journey, guiding them towards adopting Databricks as part of their strategy
• Implement technical strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Build a network of technical champions within the customer organization
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
• Mentor other team members to enhance their technical capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the Retail and CPG industry with a focus on large (> $1m ARR) accounts
• 3+ years of pre-sales or sales support experience
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies
• Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP
• Experience in maintaining and evolving production data systems to meet complex customer needs
• Programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java for production environments

Qualifications

• Databricks Certification is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across different departments
• Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in retail and consumer packaged goods
