The Role

We are seeking experienced pre-sales professionals with a strong history of helping large enterprises become more data-driven. This role involves working closely with Account Executives to define and direct the technical strategy for our largest and most important accounts, driving broader and deeper adoption of machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML & AI).

Responsibilities

  • Work with 1-5 clients as the primary technical voice for Databricks
  • Lead customers through a transformative journey, assisting them in evaluating and adopting Databricks as part of their strategy
  • Implement the technical strategy in the account, aligning with the overall strategy
  • Build a network of technical champions within the account
  • Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
  • Provide structured mentorship for other team members

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with large (> $1m ARR) enterprises in the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) space
  • 3+ years of experience in pre-sales or supporting sales activities
  • Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies
  • Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
  • 3+ years of experience with design and implementation of big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP, or full lifecycle data science solutions
  • Experience maintaining and extending production data systems to meet evolving customer needs
  • Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
