Solutions Architect - Rack Scale AI Systems
About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the IPP (Infrastructure, Planning and Process) Cloud Infrastructure Team. The role is part of a global organization within NVIDIA that collaborates with various groups including Graphics Processors, Mobile Processors, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Driverless Cars to meet their infrastructure needs. The Solutions Architect will work on cloud services that handle nearly half a million automated jobs daily across thousands of servers, supporting thousands of NVIDIA software engineers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with NVIDIA Product Teams to understand new product roadmaps and requirements, particularly for Rack Scale AI Products.
- Design and implement optimal solutions for deploying these products in datacenter or lab environments using advanced design techniques, services, and tools.
- Aid in the roll-out and deployment of new development features to support the latest NVIDIA hardware and technologies.
- Define and execute full-scale solutions for product onboarding into hosted and private cloud environments.
- Solve complex problems related to multi-site deployments of NVIDIA products and contribute to the overall quality of deployments and time to market for new-generation products.
- Work closely with multi-functional teams, including system engineering, software engineering, mechanical/thermal engineering, operations, data center teams, external vendors, and other partners to ensure successful delivery of a reliable and robust platform from concept to deployment.
- Optimize cluster deployment methods and manage software stacks, including provisioning these services into the cloud.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- 6+ years of Linux and scripting experience.
- Strong background in OS kernels and system engineering.
- Proven ability to quickly grasp new technologies and deploy systems in sophisticated configurations.
- Excellent technical skills and understanding of embedded systems, orchestration, automation systems, data centers, and cloud architecture.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in product engineering, failure analysis, and debugging, as well as hardware or test design.
- Understanding of dense datacenter design, including compute, storage, and networking.

- Experience in large-scale QA environments for product bring-ups.
- Special skills in large-scale computing and cluster computing (MPI), data center design, including high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand), cluster storage, and scheduling-related design and/or management experience.

Benefits
NVIDIA offers competitive compensation packages, including base salaries ranging from $208,000 to $333,500 for Level 5 and $256,000 to $414,000 for Level 6, along with equity and comprehensive benefits.
Pay
Base salary range: $208,000 - $333,500 for Level 5, and $256,000 - $414,000 for Level 6.
