Solutions Architect - Presales
About the role
As a Solutions Consultant for RWS TrainAI group, you'll serve as the cornerstone for the development of AI data services solutions within RWS. The role is integral in developing new strategies and solutions, supporting sales, and assisting in solving complex problems for customers. You’ll be instrumental in establishing best practices around qualifying, solutioning, and closing new business opportunities, setting up proof-of-concepts, and transitioning complex projects to global production teams for scaling. This role operates on a global scale with international collaboration and is designed to respect work-life balance with limited off-hours demands.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, supporting their specific business goals, solutions needs, and technical requirements related to improving their training data needs for machine learning.
- Solution Development: Design and implement viable and scalable data acquisition and annotation workflows. Build and present custom solutions, process optimizations, and integration strategies for long-term customer success.
- Pre-Sales Engagement: Lead responses to customer RFPs and RFIs, and design innovative solution proposals. Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that align with enterprise client business objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and adapt strategic plans to align with client goals, including identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiencies, and collaborating with other Solutions Consultants to contribute to technology strategy plans.
- Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with globally dispersed client services teams, peer solutions consultants, sales, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless solution development and delivery.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the organization at key industry and customer events, conferences, and speaking engagements, showcasing thought leadership in the data services space.
- Strategic Industry Advisory: Leverage industry knowledge and proactively identify trends and disruptions to deliver actionable recommendations that shape customer engagement and sales strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- At least 4+ years of experience in services-oriented solution and technical pre/post-sales solutioning.
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies; data service experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact easily with customer stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain long-lasting relationships with business partners, both internal and external.
- Strategic thinking, business-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Analytical approach with strong data analysis skills—experience in using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools is preferred.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment, skillfully multitasking and delivering results under pressure.

Pay
Base Pay: $120,000 - $140,000 per year. Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
