Solutions Architect (Platform & Enterprise Integration)

About the role

As an Application Architect within the Enterprise Platforms and Systems team, you will work across functions to ensure the Innovation, Architecture, and Infrastructure organization has the technology to meet the needs of AbbVie. Working with manufacturing and finance teams, you will build plans defining our technology journey. You will create different architectural views to support the organization's ability to make decisions, design solutions, and deliver value. You will be a member of the Agile Architecture community within IAI, working with a community of architects to support and improve how we work together to create value for Abbvie.

Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting the in-depth technical expertise and direction on the architecture and technology needs of the platforms and applications within the Innovation, Architecture, and Infrastructure technology ecosystem.
• Sponsoring the development of digital capabilities across the BTS Innovation, Architecture, and Infrastructure organization.
• Partnering with various business stakeholders, technology leads, architects, engineers, and partners.
• Operating as the subject matter expert.
• Enforcing and advocating secure, safe, and compliant architecture and technology solutions.
• Operating as the subject matter expert in application design, software development, and application architecture.

Requirements

• Demonstrated Experience delivering complex applications in a cloud native or Hybrid environment.
• Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
• Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience, Master's Degree with 6 years of experience, PhD with 2 years of experience in application program development.

Skills

• Architecture modeling and software design using Archimate, UML, BPML, or similar modeling languages.
• Experience using Agentic frameworks and tooling including Claude, Codex and Open Code.
• Architect and design solutions in a hybrid environment, on-premise and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Architect and design enterprise integration solutions.

$109,500 - $208,500 USD
